A little about Dr Rishi Weerasinghe.

I am originally from Melbourne, however I managed to escape the dreary weather and moved to the Gold Coast in 2007. I continued to journey further north, and worked as a dentist in Airlie Beach.

Dentistry is a career that I have grown to love. This was especially true during a volunteer trip as a mobile dentist in a small aboriginal town in Cherbourg. It showed me how appreciative people can be of good dental treatment, and the need for dental care in rural and regional Australia. I also love the challenge of proving to patients that a visit to the dentist can be an enjoyable and stress free affair.

Apart from teeth, my other interests include music, travelling and scuba diving. As well as playing guitar, I also enjoy singing (though not always in tune) and playing the harmonica. And when I can muster the courage the lovely folks at The Loft in Chevron are always happy for me to play a few tunes for them, which is always a fun night.
