Root Canal Treatment

Root Canal treatment is used when the nerve of the tooth is infected. The process of doing a root canal is relatively easy, it involves using files to clean out the nerve and placing medicine in the canals and then filling them with a special type of filling, this is normally done over a couple of appointments. Infection of the nerve can be caused from decay in the tooth getting too close to the nerve, this causes the nerve to become infected and an abscess forms at the root of the tooth which can be quite uncomfortable. To help prevent this from happening keep up to date with your dental checkups, the dentist will advise you of any decay occurring so you can get it sorted before it leads to infection of the nerve.
