Implants can also be used to help to secure bridges or dentures in the mouth.

Implant treatment is broken down into four specific parts/ appointments-
- Treatment planning
- Implant placement
- Abutment placement
- Final crown placement
The implant (or fixture) is placed into the bone and allowed to heal, which can take anywhere up to six months. After this, the crown is then placed onto the fixture using either screws or cement.
After care of an implant is also very important- You must brush twice a day and floss at least once a day.
