About the practice
John Street Dental has been caring for the Redcliffe Peninsula since 1976. For generations, local families have trusted our team for friendly, personal dental care in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
We’re proud to combine the familiar feel of a local practice with modern dentistry, while always taking the time to listen and make patients feel comfortable.
Principal Dentist
Dr Div Singh is a New Zealand-trained dentist with a strong interest in orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry and creating comfortable, positive dental experiences. He enjoys helping patients improve both the health and appearance of their smiles, particularly those who may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. Outside the clinic, Dr Div loves travelling, discovering new places to eat and learning about health and nutrition.
Senior Dentist
Dr Alvin graduated from the University of Queensland and went on to own and operate two dental practices in regional New South Wales for seven years. He returned to Brisbane in late 2019. Dr Alvin has a particular interest in surgical and restorative implant dentistry, CEREC and digital dentistry, as well as clear and effective patient communication. He enjoys helping patients understand their treatment options and feel confident throughout their dental care.
General Dentist
Dr Thiffany is a Queensland local who loves the lifestyle and community here. She enjoys restoring smiles back to health, creating aesthetic restorations and making each dental visit as comfortable and positive as possible. Outside the clinic, Dr Thiffany enjoys exploring new restaurants, playing tennis, skiing and fishing around Redcliffe with her partner.
Senior Dentist
Dr Albert graduated from RGUHS in Bangalore, India, in 2009 and became registered to practise as a general dentist in Australia in 2013. We’re very fortunate to have him as part of the John Street Dental team. Dr Albert enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with particular interests in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, crowns and bridges, root canal treatment, implants, soft tissue procedures and complex rehabilitation. He is passionate about keeping up to date with the latest techniques and technology and is currently completing the Kois Center Graduate Curriculum in Seattle.
General Dentist
Dr Melissa Baxendale is a general dentist with a particular interest in cosmetic, aligner and implant dentistry. Her passion for dentistry began with her own experience of having braces as a child, which greatly improved her confidence and inspired her to help others experience the same positive transformation. Melissa loves building genuine relationships with her patients and seeing their confidence grow as they achieve a smile they feel proud of. She takes a personalised approach to dentistry, with a focus on creating healthy, natural and confident smiles. Outside of dentistry, Melissa loves spending as much time as possible with her sausage dogs and partner. She also enjoys experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes and exploring her creative side through craft projects.
General Dentist
Dr Daniel Hu has a particular interest in orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry and smile makeovers. Inspired by his own orthodontic treatment at a young age, he is passionate about helping patients feel confident and comfortable throughout their dental journey. With over 10 years of experience, Dr Daniel takes a gentle, calm and conservative approach to care, with a strong focus on supporting nervous and anxious patients. He provides general dentistry, early orthodontic intervention for children, fixed braces and clear aligner treatment, and is a certified Invisalign practitioner. Outside the clinic, Dr Daniel enjoys exercising, travelling, reading and eating good food. He is also fluent in Mandarin and Japanese.
Dental Prosthetist
Alvin is a dedicated dental prosthetist with a passion for creating healthy, confident smiles. He has been part of the John Street Dental team for several years and also brings experience working across private dental clinics. With a strong focus on precision and personalised care, Alvin designs high-quality dental prosthetics tailored to each patient’s individual needs. He enjoys helping patients restore function, comfort and confidence in their smile.
Oral Health Therapist
Jeff graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand, in 2017 with a Bachelor of Oral Health, and has dedicated his career to helping patients achieve optimal oral health and confidence in their smiles. With experience across both the public and private sectors, he moved to sunny Brisbane in 2019 and has loved the Queensland lifestyle ever since. Jeff is passionate about bringing smiles back to people’s lives through gentle, comprehensive care, with a particular focus on periodontal therapy, advanced tooth whitening and restorative dentistry. Outside the clinic, you can usually find him staying active playing soccer, or out on the golf course trying to improve his swing.

John Street Dental has been part of the Redcliffe community since 1976, caring for generations of local families from Redcliffe, Scarborough, Margate, Woody Point and surrounding areas.
Over the years, the practice has continued to grow while keeping the personal, friendly approach that has always been at the heart of John Street Dental.
While dentistry has changed, our focus remains the same: taking the time to listen, helping patients feel comfortable and providing care that suits their individual needs. Alongside general and family dentistry, we now offer modern treatment options including dental implants, clear aligners and IV sedation.
What continues to make John Street Dental special is its connection to the local community: familiar faces, long-standing patients and a team proud to care for families across the Peninsula.
